The Tri-Nations - Part 3 (The glory)
Yes, you guessed it! The Springboks have completed a miraculous return-to-form in the first half of the international season, beating the world's top 2 teams to take the Tri-Nations crown!

This is just getting too exciting. It's do or die for the Springboks. In the last test of the Tri-Nations 2004, the Boks face the Aussies. It's going to be a cracker I think. If the Boks win, they win the tournament, if they lose, they get the wooden spoon again!
The tri-nations 2004 has got underway. It is building up to be one of the most exciting yet! With South Africa a completely rejuvinated side and New Zealand and Australia easily seeing off the World Champions, England, who knows what will happen?
So, finally, after all that anticipation and some great excitement from me, the Springboks triumphed. Not only did they beat Ireland 2-0 in the series, but they beat Wales as well the week after.
I have the utmost respect for Ireland, they have performed very impressively over the last couple of seasons and have proven that they are a world class side, even ending above South Africa in the world rankings!

So, the Stormers beat the defending champions (and largely All Black team :-)).
They didn't just beat them though, they gave them a bit of a drubbing 51-23!! 11 tries in the game, must've been absolute magic.
Well, the Stormers are in second place now after 8 games. Just a couple of points behind the Brumbies. The Sharks have a game in hand, and could pull ahead of the Stormers if they win with a bonus point in their next game.
I'm just hoping the Stormers finish in the top 2 and get a home semi-final, because, I'm am definitely going to be there! It will be the nicest welcome-home present I could want!
GO THE STORMERS!!!!!!!!
Hopefully after this string of wins and having 3 teams in the top 6 after round 8 should keep a wining mindset in place.
For too long people have been saying the South African Super 12 teams have been the whipping boys of southern hemisphere rugby. It's about time they garnered as much respect as the faltering New Zealand sides.
Hopefully this surge can develop into a home semi-final. If the Stormers manage to get a home semi-final, man will I be happy. I will be there to watch it!!
I reckon they can do it.
I still haven't managed to work out why the hell Sky have decided to show not a single Stormers Super 12 Game here in the UK. I've spent the entire tournament so far watching text reports on my computer. What would I do without the guys at Rugby365? A very good website and the content, surprisingly for a South African run site, loads very quickly! Well done guys.
So, all we have to do is keep our fingers crossed and hope the Stormers, Sharks and Bulls can make it through to the semis - what a weekend that would be!
